Everything you have written here is ERRONEOUS. The Cuban Missile crisis was about Turkey!? 😆 It wasn't and even if it were, that is not the central/foundational issue vis-a-vis Ukraine. The central issue is the threat to US national security that missiles in Cuba, aimed at the US posed. The same with Ukraine. The Russians cannot feel at ease if US WMDs are pointed at Moscow, from Ukraine a few miles away.
