Sir, you need to unplug from MSM. Russia is responding to the refusal to invoke the Minsk Agreement and the continued encroaching on its borders by NATO --- Ukraine needs to remain a neutral power. That was what was agreed on by Russia when the USSR ended --- that there would be respect for the territorial integrity of Russia's borders by NATO. Then the US overthrew Yanukovych and installed a puppet government. Then Ukraiane applied for NATO membership. There have been a series of sustained provocations since 2014 --- Putin responded.
As for naming a country etc. Didn't you see me say that the Russians won the war, freed the world? The war was won before America entered. The whole freaking Europe owes its freedom to the then USSR. Google is free --- go use it. The truth is not always what the West say.

Ukraine's proposed membership in NATO, plus the installation of WMDs on it soil, so close to Moscow is a clear and present threat to Russian national security. It is no different from the Cuban Missile Crisis, in 1962 when Khrushchev installed weapons in Cuba, 90 miles from Florida, in the US. Kennedy had cause for concerns, because It was a threat to US national security --- at least the US thought and there was reasonable grounds. The situations are the same. Khrushchev backed down. Why didn't America with Ukraine? Why the double standard?
